TextMate’s Blogging Bundle
I’m posting this from TextMate using kick-ass Blogging bundle.
Basically, it works like this. You install the bundle, using the slightly hard-to-find , configure it with one line, and then authenticate yourself on the blog. (It’s helpful if you remember your password.) Then, using XMLRPC, it lets you manage your blog from inside your favorite text editor. Well, inside TextMate, which will become your favorite text editor once you’ve used it for a while. And it’s for OS X only.
While it doesn’t support more advanced features like image uploads, pages or drafts, and it doesn’t import my post categories, the fact that I can keep a bunch of posts locally until I feel they’re ready for prime time is really quite handy nonetheless.
So look forward to more regular posts from me via the blogging bundle. Thanks Choate!
Actually — rather unbelievably — you can upload images. Check out Allan Odgaard’s .
