I <3 Hostdime

Last Tuesday my domain name expired.

Now, I didn’t find out because I got an email or something. I found out because I clicked the “Blog It” bookmarklet and was suprised to find ads for Rekyavik hostels and movies.

I freaked.

I emailed the people who owned the ads asking them to have my domain back. I emailed Hostdime using my GMail account I keep in case of emergencies.

I got a response from Hostdime within fifteen minutes. My domain name wasn’t stolen. But I forgot my password for the domain name management thing at Hostdime. Luckily, I was able to guess it and was able to renew it for $15.99.

However, the next day it still wasn’t up. So I called the guys down at Hostdime. Two rings and I had someone who could do something. Three clicks on their end and my blog, Hill’s blog, the gallery, everything was all back where it should be, and all was right with the world.

Hostdime rules.
